Finally in Adelaide

We landed last thursday 16th, very very tired, had meet and greet from a man called Tony, could he talk???!!!! We were sooo tired, didn't manage to sleep at all on the plane, both night flights. After doing some shopping when we arrived we all went for a liitle lie down, 5 hours later we woke up to our landlady knocking at the door! Don't know if we would have woke up otherwise.

Anyway feeling slightly better now, still very confused about everything, pannicking about getting somewhere to live, so can't really enjoy the moment completely.

Lovely city and lovely weather.

Managed to get pay as you go internet from telstra, $149 dollars for usb modem, then however much you need to top up. Thought this would be best for instant access with no contract.

Must go now family are queuing up to do emails! Been 9 days since home internet!

So glad to hear you made it, hope you find somewhere soon, and enjoy lots of that ozzie sun.

:)Hi Guys, welcome to Adelaide. I hope you get yourselves sorted, its a very stressful time, but once you get sorted you;ll start to enjoy it.

Where are you looking to settle?

We are at West lakes shore, which is a lovely suburb good schools and all facilities are close by including the beach.

take care, and keep your chin up if you come up against those obsticals, remember you have a good network on this forum.

Good luck with it all i am sure you will soon find your way around and good luck with finding a house,

we are from the bristol area so not far from you, i quite often use to work in Gloucester and i know where i would rather be working.;)

Hi again, Thanks everyone for your replies.

Managed to find a rental in Mitchell Park, just off Daws road, small 3 bedroom unit 1970s style!!!

Great landlord and family, we could choose lease, decided on 6 months. So we will move in 10 Nov.Big relief and start to relax a bit now. Just need to buy a car. Yes, finally went to Ikea!!

Rachael, if you read this, do you know anything about Hamilton Secondary, or would there be a bus to Blackwood school, or Aberfoyle Park???
