House completed and money in the bank!!!

We completed today on our house and now have the money to go into savings!!!!! So pleased its all over. Feel for the first time that we only have a matter of time now before we can get to our ultimate dream of living in Oz.

CONGRATULATIONS I know how you feel, when we finally sold ours we felt like this might all actually happen.

 

We've spent the last few months move money from our house around trying to gain best interest rates and avoid losing it as banks collapse. In the end we decided to open an account with the Commonwealth bank - who were great. Austalian banks have agreed to guarantee unlimited savings and the exchange rate has been fantastic so we decided to go for it. A bit scary at the time of transfer but definitely feel it was a good move - thought it might be helpful to know!

:arghh:Hi All glad too hear you've sold your house ours is still on the marketnot getting many viewings now, we're just down the road from you in Bovey Tracey went out to oz in May and fell in love with area Blackwood, what area are you looking at? My 3 kids loved it out there apart from the footy got them in too play for Cumberland utd but were'nt very inpressed with it. Let us know how your getting on and maybe we can meet up for a chat.

Congratulations, We're still waiting for house too sell, we're just the road from you in Bovey Tracey what areas are you looking too rent/buy in Adelaide. We went out for a areccie in May and liked Blackwood buts its very pricey there, our friends from Bovey went over in September and are renting in Flagstaff Hill and love it their. Fingers crossed we'll sell soon keep us posted how your getting on, for shipping companies had a good quote from Bishops Move in Exeter they seem too be the cheapest. Good Luck.
