Sadly won't be bringing our dog

Well it's been a difficult week- sadly we lost our dog , Gus, last week. He suddenly took ill with pancreatitis and the vet just couldn't save him. It's ironic because I posted on here when Martin and Val lost their dog, saying how concerned I was about putting Gus through the journey. Now it won't happen -how quickly things can change.

We have just got 2 wee kittens to help the children cope- it's all a bit soon for another dog, and nothing will replace Gus, but the kittens are providing some comfort. Looks like they'll end up Ozzie cats!

So sorry.I know how you feel. We lost our dog 3 months before we came out here. (his piccie is on the left)

Concentrate your thoughts on oz - that's what helped me get through.

Guest Martin and Val

Hi Marcia and family,

We are so sorry to hear your sad news and know exactly what you are going through. It keeps going through our minds that if we were here Pace wouldn't have died but the reality is he was very ill and we never got to say good bye to him. He also started with pancreatitis and in the end died of kidney failure.

Nothing we can say will make you feel any better but time will heal. We got our other dog Megan back from quarantine this week and she is fine and so happy to be back with us.

Take care

Martin and Val x

Hi Marcia

So sorry to hear your sad news. I know what you are going through as we lost our cat 2 years ago and our children took it very badly. Hence, we now have a dog and he has filled the gap that was missing. It will take time, but keep focused on your journey to Oz and look to the future, with your little kittens and family.
