have read afew thread recently on here and other sites about Adelaide still being in the 70's, and way behind the times of other cities in Oz.....

Can i ask why some people may think this? This is only for fun, coz to be honest, quite, laid back and slow will suit me just fine, and my OH would love it if Rising Damp, dad's army and the sweeney was still on, although i am sick of seeing all the repeats, over and over again:confused:

Remember just for fun and no insults intended..

thanks

My Dad couldn't believe that Some Mothers Do Av Em was prime time Saturday night TV viewing when he was here. Oh and what made me laugh was his comments about the tin roofs.

We find that our Aussie friends/family all got married to their first love when they were in their early 20's, have babies and stay at home looking after the kids.

PS. Not that there's anything wrong with this but seems to be the old fashioned values that our parents had which is quite sweet.

No digital of any kind i.e DAB radio. No automatic travel news on the radio. No National radio programmes.

The news only covers the state you are in. Still have to look on the BBC to find out what is really going on the world.

The quality of the clothes is really bad.

Prawn cocktail is trendy!!

As for work, Nurses are there to mop the doctors fevered brow!!!

Mullets - what is it with peoples' hair.......

The bank used pen and paper for our mortgage application and a client told me where her hubby works they use DOS on the computer, now I am not too sure of this not being comp literate but I thought that was what our very very old amiga had???? Or was it the commodore 64 (not holden commordore!)

With my user name I'm well at home! Now, all I need is the Capri, having mis-spent my youth perfecting the roll over the bonnet, oh... and some cardboard boxes to drive through.Da da da ,da da

Just go in a West Lakes house that hasn't been renovated since it was built. Dark brown paint everywhere, mediterranean arches, avocado, orange and brown worktops and tiles (and even brown taps) in the kitchens and bathrooms. And of course dark brown brick walls indoors. Quite trendy in a retro way.

As for radio, Triple J used to be national. Used to like the distorted ABC jingle at news time.
