Which circular route do you recommend us to take after landing in Adelaide?

Hi, we are flying from Sydney to SA, in August to validate our visas. Which route would you take, to take advantage of the best areas for work (husband in roofing, I am in admin - but honestly we will do anything at all) then to fly out from Adelaide two weeks later back home?

 

Need recommendations so we can plan our route for inns, motels etc etc. We will be giving our details to agencies etc and visiting schools to see what their curriculum is and what they have to offer.

Adelaide is not that big really that you will need a route. Once you get here just be based at one place and you can drive around and out easily from there to anywhere in the city. Spend some time in each of the suburban areas to get a feel of where you might like, there is , hills, coastal, northern, southern and inner metro oh and I nearly forgot the southern west coastal. look through shops and supermarkets, if you like the look of an area go and see the schools. Primary schools are not zoned usually, but high schools are.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Do you think it will be easy enough just to book motels etc as we go, rather than do it before hand. Sorry should have said we are maybe touring part of SA, rather than just Adelaide.

Generally it is not a problem and you can get good deals on last minute sites for accomodation like www.wotif.com. It also depends what time of year you come, obviously school hols are going to be busier than others.

Yes, school holidays will be over (July) so you won't have a problem booking in anywhere in the middle of winter. Don't forget to haggle, expecially if you want to stay a few weeks, most places are more than happy to drop prices to have their lets filled for a few weeks.

 

try looking around West Beach, there are some great holiday lets down there and the weather here can still be warm enough for walks on the beach and a bit of cafe culture.
