Semi rural area's any ideas!

Hi can any body suggest any semi rural area's to look at please,

Not too far away from schools or local shopping, Not much to ask i know, Sorry! We have two retrievers and 3 horse mad kids and i would love to teach them to ride as im a qualified riding instructor im too tight to pay for lessons! i miss having my own, Any ideas you can throw my way would be a great help.

I'm in Onkaparinga Hills which is on the border of the rural hills areas.

 

Lot of equestrian centres and "horsey" properties to the rear of us.

Further south towards McLaren Vale would be good also.:)

In fact thinking a bit more there are loads of areas to look at.

Depends if you want to be nearish to the city or beach.

 

If not there are LOADS of areas to choose from.

 

Be prepared for a lot of driving around!!!

 

They are horse mad here - lot of it is competitive or working horse breeding though.

 

I've a friend down at Mt Compass that breeds Cutters and Quarter horses for the Rodeo /Draft scene.

They bring big money.

Sounds great to me! We would rather have near the beach rather than the city, The quarter horses is something i would love to see.

Onkaparinga hills is ideal.....................or check out Clarendon, Kangarilla and Meadows - about 32 Km's from city and bordering Mclaren Vale/Flats and the southern beaches

MY sister lives in Maylor it took us about 25 min to get to city center and has schools near by and plenty of horses about and riding
