Easter for newies.

The Easter long weekend is the favourite last get away before the winter. Being a four day weekend means there is enough time to get away to the shack, the farm or wherever. The roads on Thursday out of town can be busy, similarly coming back on Monday.

 

Do your shopping before Thursday, but the shops will be open on Saturday.

 

EVERYTHING IS CLOSED ON GOOD FRIDAY. ESPECIALLY THE PUBS AND BOTTLE SHOPS. Some small supermarkets and petrol stations will be open.

 

Easter monday is like a normal public holiday and the usual places will be open.

I am working all but the monday so no trips for us

And fill up with petrol on the Tuesday before because the price always shoots up before public holiday weekends (oh, and the aussies don't understand sometimes if you call them "Bank" holidays!)
