Hi Laura,
Just read this and can see it was from 2009, just wondering if you are still in west lakes shore, just wondering what you thought of the area, we were loking at the school for myu daughter. Whats the difference between west lakes and west lakes shore? is there one ?
Thanks
Rachael
If you want new plug tops for your appliances, check out somewhere like Bunnings first THEN go to an electrical wholesaler and tell them it is a cash sale
It does get cold here but it is more the change in tempreture you'll notice, 15 degrees at night is cold when it's been 30 + all day (and possibly previous nights too.
Funny , but true, story

"So what do you think of Australia then ?" Strange question i thought

LOL, don't worry, one of these day's you'll be saying the same to another person. My mom is from the UK and when she first arrived in South Africa she was the same, couldn't understand how everyone was walking around in jackets and she was in a short sleeve shirt. She's now the first one to bundle up. Blood thins and you aclimatise with time. Great post
Very informative and generous. Even though its hard to memorize them all I will make sure to make notes of all the wisdom that comes from your advice.
Thank you for being here for us. I sure hope to return the favor once I'm there and continue posting here to help others dreaming of making it to SA.
Cheers y'all![]()
