There was just far too much choice, did I need 63 types of dip to make my life complete?
I came here for less stress so having less to choose and confuse suits me.:)
Tyke mate i think you hit the nail on the head.
A more laid back life style was one of the things on the list, and i think we have that here. Relaxed lifestyle and more to do at a slower speed, especially where the weather is concerned. I don't know if you can put a price on that, but it's got to be better for you in the long run.
Well it would be if this bloody gardening doesn't kill me
Hard call about the weather- in one respect it means an awful lot here but to some it seems a shallow reason for making the move.
I enjoy paddling
Good luck with the gardening - you would go and buy a house!
I've at least 10 ton of firewood to shift / split and stack
BEERS ARE EXPENSIVE.although the take away after is cheap
the best way to move forward and begin to enjoy life out here was for us to stop comparing everything to the yUk, what ever went before had gone this is the way we are living and no comparisons will ever change it !!!
All it does is maybe start do give you doubts over what you have done, sure some things are better some worse.
but for us things are alot better here...
i lived in ireland that everyone from UK thinks is expensive and i find supermarkets expensive but there are great markets . willunga, showground and central markets where you get great food. Am a great believer in quality over quantity. more outdoors so when warm you eat alot less. You can look about and there are offers supermarkets are expensive(only 2 to pick from and they tend to own all the shops in the mall) which just means you grow your own(really easy here) find good greengrocers(veggie shops) loads about. i go to a fab one in morphetvale. But i do find there is 63 types of dip available her:)
If you buy all your shopping from one supermarket may need to modify the buying pattern but the food is fab
To be honest i really can't remember how much things were in the uk. maybe its my memory going with age or just the blinkers i needed to put on to get me into accepting oz for all it has to offer.
I completely agree with this statement! the shoes are awful in Adelaide, I really dont think my 2 girls will be happy when we get back with this part of it all, my eldest will want to order her Kurt Geigers online, she wont do without them, me,Im happy with thongs, haha
