Help iPod malfunction

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has got any ideas to help me with my iPod that has

suddenly stopped working, it's an iPod classic 30gb, had it about 3 and half years not

dropped it or anything daft. I've re-charged it, followed the reset instructions but nothing, i've also been on the iPod website but its not even registering anything when I plug it in (apparently it can diagnose whats wrong).

 

I'd be really grateful for any ideas please!!

Sometimes they freeze for no reason, and then start working again! So hopefully this will happen.

It may need a new rechargeable battery. They don't last forever and need to be changed from time to time depending on how often it's been used etc.

in the city is a place called nextbyte ours broke last year 3 weeks out of warranty and apple extended the warranty for us we took it to nextbyte and they sorted it for us might be worth a try
