I am also religious although I don't attend church on a regular basis. I have been to Paradise Community Church (great name!) a few times in 18 months and really felt uplifted by attending.
I was not brought up to believe in God but I just do. My aunt bought me a bible when I was nine and I loved dipping into it and always have once close to hand. I find it absolutely fascinating and it's all very complex. The fact that the bible was written over hundreds of years, was written to prophesise the birth and death of Jesus and to tell the world that God gave his only son to die for us is humbling to me. The bible has stood the test of time and makes for inspirational reading. I feel that this is amazing in itself - why hasn't the bible just faded away if so many people think it is a load of old cobblers, especially in this modern age?
Bill is not religious at all and this leads to interesting discussions at times! I don't envy anyone who has no belief in God but hardly anyone I know does. Each to their own and a subject worthy of debate.
