Anyone know what this is? Is it black olives? It was growing in the park near us (sorry some of its leaves have been eaten - it wasn't me!) - but lots of what is now Linear Park used to be market gardens so there are all sorts of fruit trees (oranges, lemons, pears, walnuts, pistachios, figs, plums) as well as the natives - there are hundreds of these out on the trees at the moment and I wondered if anyone can identify what it is? (Sorry it's such a bad photo too!!!)

Hard to tell Diane. Do you have any lighter pics??

Some of the more feral olive trees could still have fruit on but I'm not 100% it is an olive tree.

Hi Diane

I have a tree in my garden which I thought was a macedamia nut tree, so I took a sample of leaf and fruit to the botanic gardens. A very helpful man confirmed it as a macedamia nut and i now have lots of nuts to crack and eat

Maybe you could do the same thing

Jane
