Apart from fishing of course!

We've got a few free days before the big move south. What do you all recommend we do before we go. Places to take the kids etc? We are gonna do the zoo but any other suggestions would be great.

Cheers all!

Don't know how old your kids are, but if old enough, hiring canoes and canoeing (or is it kayaking?) round the mangroves near Port Adelaide is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. You get dolphins coming up alongside you - it's lovely. Company that does it is: Adventure Kayaking SA • The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary Tour

Alternatively, if your kids are younger, take a drive up to Gorge Wildlife Park in the hills - and then pootle through to Lobethal to the Brewery for lunch, then Woodside for the Chocolate and Cheese Factories.

They're probably a bit young for the kayaking, although it does sound good! One is 9, the other 5. We've already done Gorge Wildlife Park, I was thinking maybe Belair or Warrowong.

They do a family tour for people with kids aged 4 -12, might be worth looking at. Warrawong is nice for a walk round - or they might even still do their night sleepover and night walk which sounds fun. Or if you have a day free, take them up to St Kilda adventure playground, which has the big advantage (for me) of being free! Don't go on too hot a day though as the metal slides are hell on bare legs!

Hi ya Damo

Try Urimbirra Wildlife Park (near Victor Harbour). The kids can handle snakes, pet the koala's and feed the kangaroo's etc. It's Charlie's favourite place (and there are no spiders!!!!!) Warrawong is really sweet. Have you been to migration or natural history museum?
