We were going to go to lake Bonney, we went last Easter and loved it, but our baby will be only a few weeks old so we can't go- that means there will be a spare powered site available!!!! :-)

Normanville would have been perfect but some friends took:sad: us a couple of weeks ago and when we asked it was booked up for Easter

We got a camper trailer off here a few months ago. had a test run at Adelaide Shores near the airport. felt like being on holiday and only 45 mins from home. And the best cooked brekkie so far in oz !!!

Second bay, or port elliot? Travel to Robe area if your lucky. Or pick a spot in the riverlands if you want to be away from the sea but still near water, Berri, Loxton etc

We have either stayed at, or visited all of the caravan parks mentioned on this thread in the past 12 months and thought they were all really nice parks. It really depends on what your interests are as to which one you choose depending on the area they're in.

We're off to Melrose to visit Mount Remarkable this Easter. Will be visiting Moonta later in the year for more camping.

We are going away for a couple of nights at the end of feb. it will either be Normanville or Victor harbour depending on the weather that weekend. We went to Robe at xmas and had a fantastic time and have already booked up for next year ( including new year) as it fills up rapidly and will be fully booked by the end of feb. We are going here for easter Flinders Ranges South Australia campsites . really looking forward to this one !!!

Robe is beautiful in the summer, and the beach is glorious, but may be a little cool at Easter - usually about 10 degrees lower than Adelaide (which was fantastic at New Year this year:D - and hey PP, we'll be there next year too for New Year, small world!)

We spent one Easter at Naracoorte camping, had a great time, with lots to do (the bat caves are a must) but was absolutely freezing overnight, and did rain a bit too so cold and damp!

Clare would be another nice place to consider. Although may be a little far for you ... not sure.

Have to recommend Meninge - shores of Lake Albert & easy access to the Coorong which is absolutely beautiful now that it is full of water! Clean campsite, if you are lucky enough to get a lakeside pitch it is idyllic!

Easter may be busy though - phone & see what they have available.

We stayed in Normanville just after new year. Going to Port Elliot end of Feb and Wallaroo over Easter. Struggled to find spaces for Easter, but there a group of us so you may find space somewhere. Most places I e-mailed got straight back to me the same day.

Hope you get in somewhere and have a great time.

Easter is booked out almost every where. Choose & book now for next year. One place you will most likely get into is Milang caravan park $20 a night www.milanglakesidecaravanpark.com.au Day trips to Strathalbyn, Clayton, Goolwa, Victor Harbor & Cape Jervis. Buy an oil filled heater for around $25, safe & quiet. Good luck

Hi,

We went to Lake Bonney last Easter.

Also been to Port Broughton site which we really enjoyed - its a long way I think over 3hrs drive but worth it if going to go for over 3 nights.

Want to try Berri site - new heated pool, my girls only want site with a pool ! Laughed at me when I asked about a powered site for Easter.

We also have just upgraded to a trailer tent as we really enjoy camping plus what fantastic memories the kids will have of camping.

Hi,

Just found Victor Harbor beach front campsite, looks good.

Newly installed heated pool and new jumping pillow.

No good for Easter as it does get cold at Victor but close enough for a weekend.
