Can we just let it lie now please, with the agreement that what was said wasn't nice on either side, and the forum is supposed to be a helpful friendly one where no-one should be afraid to ask a question, however simple or complicated?

If either of you have any further issues, please call me, or email or whatever you prefer, rather than putting it on the public forum where it can be offputting to newbies who are not as confident.

If you receive a pm that is threatening..is there any action that is taken against the person who wrote it .

Yes it is in the basic rules of the forum.

Threatening messages should be reported to a Mod who will then take action.

Action was taken during and both parties asked to cool off.
