Dear Mr Clancy,

I'm sorry but I can't accept a reservation for "6 newly ordained priest".

We have had a lot of problems in the past from "ordained priests" with parties, loud music and drinking in the streets.

I recommend that you book into the YMCA in Adelaide city centre.

Kind Regards

I'll let you know if I receive a reply from Mr Clancy :biglaugh:

Have you had the thick young girl ringing to book one of our apartments for "6 guys"

3 times in the same day by the same girl - so I'm safe to call her thick

Just as an aside...........

I've had loads of locals both Aussie and Pom calling me and asking how to set up a furnished rental business/ where to find clients /advertise. :daydreaming:

I do warn them it is really not as easy as it looks and there is less demand.:skeptical:

No, I've not had that phone call (yet) but yes, I do get people phoning up from time to time asking me those questions. Very frustrating!

Once I had a lady phone up and ask me the contents of my "Welcome Pack"

What the.....? :biglaugh:

:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh: Love it Judi - that really is good! I think with a lot of these types of scammers the best thing is to laugh about it - otherwise it ends up doing your head in. Thanks that's made me look at it in another way now.

Just out of interest here could you not scam the scammers?

They are going to pay the deposit and some and then ask for you to refund partial overpayment.

If you delayed long enough on the partial refund you will have there funds cleared in your account.

Has anyone tried this?

Hmmm, sounds good in theory but I'd be too nervous to give them my bank account details, they obviously know their way around bank fraud but I like your thinking! :cute:

You wouldnt need to give them your bank detals.

You could set up a paypal account and say you can only use this form of payment for overseas customers. If you can get them to pay as a gift on paypal they cannot recall the payment for any reason, its not the same as a paypal transaction.

They would probably know what you are doing but at least they would steer clear of you in the future.
