I love this place!

Took OH's car in for its 12 month service this morning, then walked right the way across the City - West to East - along the southern parklands, taking me just 30 minutes to see a highly qualified medical specialist. Had a great lunch in a little Hutt Street cafe, then hopped on a bus outside, bought a ticket for just $2.80 which is good for two hours on as many busses as you like, rode as far as North Terrace, hopped off, hopped on another bus that was there within minutes, and which went on the O-Bahn (a brilliant invention, we should have them everywhere!) as far as Paradise, then off that one, onto another one (again, literally minutes to wait) that dropped me at the top of my hill, then a wonderful stroll down through the park! No wasted time, no stress, friendly bus drivers.:notworthy:

I know it's only sleepy Adelaide, but where else could you get such great public transport while also having such accessibility of everything? If I'd tried the same from Chelmsford to where I used to live it would have taken hours, cost a fortune, and there'd have been something like 2 busses a day - if I was lucky!

It take three buses to get home from the city? No wonder the ticket lasts for two hours and unlimited buses!

LOL: It's only because I didn't feel like doing any more walking, and wanted to be home quickly, so I changed to an O-Bahn bus for the bit in the middle. Anyway, changing busses frequently means I'm less likely to fall asleep and miss my stop!
