ended up renting ours out will try again this year
Weve still had no viewers :-(( in 2 months, gone with the new agent alone now, he has taken more photos and its going in the newspaper as the feature home of the week. Gone for offers over now £!!!!. Well done to all that have managed to sell and good luck to all of us still waiting!!
My house has been up for sale for over 18 months. It is in a very desirable area and had plenty of viewing with fab feedback but it wasnt until I dropped the price by over 20k that i had an offer and then a sale. Houses are just not selling unless they are cheap. The area I live in houses never came up for sale with estate agentsyou had to know someone who was selling to buy one but now there are 5 for sale around us.
Definately agree - unfortunately buyers are all looking for a bargain and until you price your home in the bargain bracket then most are not selling :(
Iv been enrolled on a mentorship course which i didnt think i would get and that runs from this Sept to Dec so this gives us a little more time to hang in there before dropping the price.
A few years ago people were falling over themselves to get into our road it was so 'desirable' - not any more sadly. Neighbour is building a new front wall and taking it right across (for a small charge to us) I hope we don't have to sit and admire it for too long!

Hi all, had a brainwave dont know if it will work!! we have 6yrs left on our mortgage but pay more a month than we would get in rent. Would it be possible to remorgage and get some cash from it (hence have the money the SA want in the account $40000 + a bit extra) would need to put over more years though, then rent whilst up for sale. Is this possible or sounds unrealistic!! We have a tracker at the mo which is good and suppose we wouldnt get a good deal with a new mortgage.
Have i made sence???
We have had our house on the market for 5 weeks now. Have just accepted an offer which is £4k under our rock bottom price!. we couldve waited to see if any more offers came in, but im fed up with people looking and feeling like its not my home anymore. Its awful trying to keep the place really neart and tidy when you have small children running around. I guess we are lucky to get an offer, but i do feel like we have been taken advantage of.
I know exactly how you feel. We had a viewer at the weekend who said they wanted to buy - after messing around today they have now came back to say they want it surveyed again and then will discuss their offer!
We will wait and see if they actually organise another survey!!!
This is definately a roller coaster ride for emotions - I am all over the palce just now - my head feels like it is going to explode!! I do feel like staying sod it and just renting it out and if they come back with a stupidly low offer we will do just that!!
Well done getting your house sold - I know what you mean about keeping it tidy etc. its a nightmare!
