Any good heads up for car hire out of Heathrow?

They're all much of a muchness just google and find the cheapest one.

 

allow plenty of extra time to get from the car hire to the terminal on the way back to the airport, the shuttle buses aren't always particularly frequent.

we used sixt, not the cheapest daily rate but they don't have a young person surcharge(I was 23 when hiring) which made it cheaper overall for me.

Car was a brand new Vauxhall Meriva with less than 1000 miles on the clock,

They are not based in the airport but quite close, you phone them when you arrive and they come and pick you up.

we checked in on-line so all we had to do was sign the rental agreement, show driving licence and pick up keys.

from phoning them to driving off with the car was about 20mins

I used sixt before when I was 23 for the same reason, takes about the same amount of time to get to them with their pick-up as to the other major car rentals (which have dedicated shuttle buses), they're all at various places on the perimeter road

I'm alot closer to "Sixt" than 23 .....Thanks guys, i do have one in mind that i used last year, but thought i'd ask around.
