Well i have received my winter electric bill.......................$1051.00

The reason it was so high?

 

WE HAD A POWER CUT A FEW MONTHS AGO....WHEN ETSA TURNED THE POWER BACK ON IT CAN CAUSE A POWER SURGE, SO THE INVERTER

TRIPPED ITSELF TO PROTECT IT. I DID NOT GO OUT AND RESET BOX:arghh: HENCE LARGE BILL.

A mate did mention this to me that if you run the system before the ETSA meter is in then you can get charged for the electricity that YOU male.....

If you have the old spinny round meter it is fine to run your solar system before etsa install the import/export meter. But if you have a digital meter and run the system it will not count backwards and your bill will infact cost more than without the solar.
