Great cartoon. Tony Abbott really is a knob. And also a great article. Being british I feel like I want to want to hold on to Australias ties to the UK with everything I've got and knowing all the history between the two it sometimes feels Australia should be inexplicably tired to the UK.n However I love Australia too and as a country which I hope holds the key to my future and that of forthcoming children I want what is the best for it. If a republic is truly that (as the article suggests)I would vote yes in a referendum but I would like a bit more reassurance republic would equal economic prosperity not just a political statement. There stevo opened up debate for you....
