Christmas Trees

I've just been clearing out under the stairs and came across our Christmas tree stand and daft question no.1 popped into my head! Do Aussies have real trees or is artificial the way to go? Is it worth me bringing the stand over or should I just chuck it?

Have seen both! I think its personal choice, we put our tree up much earlier here than we did in the UK. I think its a way of feeling bit more Christmassy whilst the sun is shining!! :-)

I would definately bring it, I have one we had only used 2 years and I thought I would never have a real tree here so left it, wish I had brought it now.

We put our tree and decs up last sunday...much much earlier than we would have done back in the UK.....

I'd have been itching to get mine up but would've waited until the 1st. This year nothing's going up, it feels weird and doesn't really feel like December but we'll make up for it next year in Oz!

bring your stand we did and we have just used it after 4 years ,we bought a real tree from a place in the hills ,not a bad price too the house smells

so good ,we had to give it a good shake for spiders though

Yep I bought a real one at the weekend, Make a Wish foundation are selling them at Glenelg Football Oval (corner Brighton Road and Diagonal Road, in the car park) this weekend too - Sat and Sunday. Ours was $60 for about a medium size and all for charity.
