We had a lovely wood burning stove in the UK, but when we moved here we thought, no point taking that with us, it doesn't get cold in Australia, we'll leave it for the people moving in, even though it cost us lots and lots of money! Ah, the benefits of hindsight...

But yes i came home to a warm house, gas heating on at 4.30pm.

 

Been here over 20 years and it must be an age thing, don't leave home without it !

Had ours on Thursday night wife works late on a Thursday when she came home I had the front door open she thought I had seen her coming and opened the door but I had to open it the house was to hot with the fire on and I was sweating.LOL
