My daughter has just moved into her own place, it has a phone line, but they have mobiles so no need for a landline, but how can they get internet in their own home??

We dont have any sort of land line, but Adam internet provide our home with excellent internet.

Were with Adam internet- naked adsl- so no phoneline- plan depends on how much they use it- they can start on the lowest and upgrade if they need to.

My netfone..................... flying it with the cable Still havent figured out how to use it wireless 50 a month and no line rental 200 gb a month so I think its a great deal

We also had adam internet...200 gb a mth and we used our land line thru our modem so it was only a dollar an hr to ring Ireland,absolutley brilliant and it costs us 80 dollars a mth!!

You do need a 'landline' for naked DSL, with Adam. However, it's not switched on for your phone. We used it with Adam previously and they were great, don't have it here

We use Adam naked dsl also. I bought a Linksys internet phone adaptor off ebay for peanuts and now have a fax machine and phone hooked up to it (with both an SA & UK phone numbers). Like another poster said it costs very little to make calls abroad. BTW, I use voiptalk.org for my calls and £5 will last us about 3 months!!

Adam do a VoIP package that means you can plug a normal phone in and a real phone no. 1 cent a min to the uk

Blimey, am very jealous! We pay a fortune for our Telstra internet, tried Adam but they didn't cover our area:arghh: If that's a problem for your daughter, could she maybe just buy a dongle? We used one from vodafone before the Telstra was set up.

internode is good too. $60 per month for 30Gig, incl $10 worth of calls. (it's called easy-naked adsl)

That means you have a landline, but it's not switched on for the phone. You just use the ADSL and you can use VOIP for phone calls. Yep, we had it before and loved ADAM and being naked
