He was a very brave man. What if the scientists had got it wrong? What if the atmosphere on the moon was poisonous, what if his space suit was inadequate, what if he had floated away into space or been swallowed into the ground, what if there were deadly bacteria or viruses there, what if there had been some kind of scary monster waiting on the moon?? He really did boldly go where no man had gone before.
