I second the above comments it's a great way to really feel part of the aussie lifestyle at any club for that matter all the way along the coast. I did my bronze last year and am now a full qualified lifeguard and competed in the Masters State championships in Feb and have signed up to compete in the Rescue 2012 World championships in November http://rescue2012.com.au/

Of course my club is the best go Porties http://www.pnslsc.com.au/

HI,

We would like to bring our son along, can you provide any details or point me in the direction of where I can find them. What time and where do we go? Is there anything for 4 year olds?

Thanks

I believe from 5 is the tiny tots having fun and teaching safety and awareness of dangers on the beach and in the water.Nothing competitive until the under 9's age group.

Southport slsc is over the foot bridge at the river mouth Noarlunga.

Its a very friendly club and great fun for the kids and the parents !!!!!!

Nippers at port noarlunga south ( southport) starts soon. Great fun and exersize for the kids aged 5 to 14 every sat afternoon over summer .

Competitions against other local clubs throughout the summer and swimming at Noarlunga pool on tues eves.

Come and try for free for two weeks from sat 13 oct.

:notworthy:

I am at Moana SLSC and recommend anyone with children to check out a SLSC for their children. You don't need kids, you can go along yourself.

Riponian has modestly not told you that she excelled at the Masters Titles!

Any Porties, your club and Moana are in the process of organising a joint bash for juniors at your beach, in December. Look forward to seeing you all.

Cheers,

Cooler

Hi wildchild - i just checked out the website for southport slsc to see about prices etc and i noticed that they were saying that no more enrolments for the nippers would be taking place this yr as they were so full... is this notice outdated do you know? I've got three eager kiddies who would love to join a ls club this summer....

Thanks, Jacinta

This is exactly what I want for my children. We arrive on the 12th so hopefully we'll be able to bring them along, we have two daughters aged 5 & 4, confident in water but still not able to swim - this will bring them on leaps and bounds. Thanks for the information, Kate
