Have you checked with your local council for hard rubbish collection? Our council allows us 2 collections per year free. You may find you don't need the skip at all. Hope this helps.

That's true - our local Council does two per year too. You just need to ring them and they will schedule it in. They will tell you what they don't collect though - with ours they won't collect old mattresses and building materials.

Hey Sue,

We used http://www.thriftyminibins.com.au last time. The guy was lovely, all arrived/left as arranged and the price was a tiny bit better than some of the others.

The hard rubbish collection is good too. We've used that a few times and it all went well. We've had to book a couple of weeks in advance; Onkaparinga send out a letter detailing everything and it's all straightforward. Plus you get the fun of watching people digging through your stuff - you know, one man's trash is another man's treasure! ( well, we've found some handy bits lol!)

Hope you're feeling well and a very HNY!

LC xx
