Summary of my reccie

Accommodation: Boomerang House in Christies beach, from Homesdownunder (Tamara on this site). It was ideal - clean, big enough for 3 adults and 2 kids comfortably and most importantly in a terrific area to explore from! Thank you Tamara!

Things we did: Kite festival at Semaphore, explored endless suburbs - changing our mind over our favourite many times, visited a primary school, made friends and went to their house for a bbq, snorkelled at Noarlunga reef, beached it nearly every day, ate lots of squid, fed kangaroos at a wildlife park, swam with a sting ray (unknowingly at first), met with a specialist recruiter in my field, fell in love with the place!

Summary: Although I liked the CBD, we felt a lot more at home in the southern suburbs and have decided almost exactly where we'd like to stay (somewhere in the Port Noarlunga - Moana stretch). We were even more enamoured with the place than we expected and I genuinely cannot wait to make the move now!

Nice to see another satisfied "customer" after what has been a fairly gloomy period.

Yep,the weather is amazing for this time of year, makes all the difference.

We've had a few stay with us on "reccies" recently , same views and opinions.

Glad you liked it. We like Christies Beach and Brighton beach but that way on is a bit far for us especially only with buses running to the city at the moment, and its a nightmare to get home at night. I left the city at half 9 in December when the trains were still running and didn't get home in Seaford til after midnight.

Didn't visit linear park, went to mount lofty though, and cleland - hills were beautiful, but we are all keener on the water attractions (scuba/snorkelling) etc.

Adelaide really does have the variety to appeal to a lot of people. Mclaren Vale was really nice too!

 My OH was dead keen on scuba, snorkelling etc too when we first got here - then there were about four shark attacks by white pointers (I may be exaggerating - it was a couple of years ago) with divers being taken in the local waters, and funnily enough, he went off the idea! He and my offspring save their diving for the South Pacific waters now - much friendlier class of sharks!!
