Yes, I remember reading that London is only 45% white now. It doesn't surprise me, whenever I was on the underground (outside of commuting to work) I used to reckon I was the only white British person in the carriage - plenty of non-white British, Arabs, mainland/Eastern Europeans and overseas tourists (and Australians like my husband)! Part of me says it doesn't matter what colour you are but part of me feels a bit sad that Britain's capital city has changed so much so quickly. The London that my parents/grandparents/great grandparents etc knew no longer exists.
