After reading the article in the paper at the weekend, my husband was determined to visit UK Foods and make some purchases.
Just had a pork pie and it was absolutely delicious - really good, would definately recommend. Will try the Eccles later.

Enjoy your whale watching, they seem to be everywhere at the moment. We got quite a display a few weeks ago. Can recommend fish n chips at the Flying Fish too... Yum!
My boyfriend was telling me about this place and I had pretty much ignored him as I figured if such a place existed I would have seen people mention it on here. Doh. I'll let him go in and buy me things now. :-D
Just going on from my earlier posting on whales seals and dolphins, on our drive down we passed two herds of Jersey/Guernsy cows, and it got us wondering as to why you cannot get 'clotted cream' here?. because a cream tea is not a cream tea without clotted cream! now there is also some debate as to how you have your cream teas, do you have plain scones (or is that pronounced scons?) or fruit ones? do you spread the cream or jam 1st? I always spread a nice thick layer of cream first as to me it is just short of being butter, not only that its just that if the jam goes 1st then the cream is harder to spread and slides off too easily.
Can anyone out there make clotted cream?
