.. just thought the new arrivals might not be aware of this. If you need to draw cash out and the only available ATM is not one of your bank's - beware the ATM charges: Can be anything up to $3 a pop. The Aussie banks haven't caught on to widespread free banking yet!

 

What you can do is pop into a supermarket and get cashback using your EFTPOS card from the customer service desk - you don't have to buy anything, just get your cash and avoid the bank charges.

 

It's only a little thing but I resent giving the banks any more money than I absolutely have to!

Coles do a pack of cupcakes for $2. If I'm going to pay $2 to get cash, at least I get cupcakes. :-D
