That is so disappointing, especially as I have just missed out on Razorlight and Snow Patrol because my leg is in plaster. I would have gone to Keane with my whole body in plaster! As a Keane fan, do you also like Embrace? Cazzie and I just love them!

Yah boo sucks to the promoters who are leaving Adelaide out. Maybe some feedback to the bands - such a we'll stop buying your albums if you leave us out next time - even if we don't mean it!.

If you really want to treat yourselves get to Thebarton Theatre this coming Friday night and see Zappa Plays Zappa.

Once again Dweezil is bringing his awesome band to showcase his dad's music to us. Dweezil is a guitar virtuoso, and his shows are an amazing display of pure musicianship. This is the second time in 18 months he will have been to Adelaide and we're so looking forward to the gig.

Yeah really spewing about Keane, probably my favourite band at the moment. Yes Embrace are really good. Went to Snow Patrol which was excellent, not many people there though!! Maybe thats why we didn't get Keane. Seriously thinking of driving to Melbourne this Thursday to watch them. I know its a bit sad but tix still on sale and only $75, bit of a long drive but flights are really expensive with such short notice!

Saw that thread and was sooo excited for a second. I am a big Keane fan - I think they are fantastic - saw them live in Glasgow :notworthy:

Cannot believe Adelaide is missing out again - would have loved to have seen Coldplay too - such a disappointment :realmad:

Well....ended up doing the big drive to Melbourne to watch Keane and they were fantastic. Tom Chaplins voice is sensational. Great night.

Well done for making the effort, sounds great. I couldn't face that trip with leg in plaster, and couldn't leave the leg behind, otherwise might have been tempted too!

Turns out we are just missing out on Keane, Snow patrol, the Charlatans, Athlete and more in the UK in July/August - they appear before we get there and after we leave - grrr! Also missed out on affordable tickets for Simon and Garfunkel in Adelaide, Cazzie not pleased!:arghh:

Hello SA great,

Just reading your post about Keane - you lucky thing seeing them. Glad it was worth the effort in the end. Bill wore his cartilage out playing soccer in his 30s and 40s. The bones kept grinding together - ouch! He has had a bolt inserted to start a bone fusion. It has been a real pain! He has hobbled on crutches for the last 5 weeks and has another 3 to go. Everything takes so long!

Cheers for asking.

Hey Django - rock and roll is all about never getting old! Check out Razorlight, The Feeling, Keane, The Charlatans, Athlete, Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, The Fray, The Strokes, British Sea Power, Pigeon Detectives, The Futureheads, The Libertines, New Pornographers, The Thrills, and for the latest and greatest, there are British India, The Holloways, The View, The Virgins, White Lies. Of course given your logon name, you might be into something a little more mellow - in which case ignore most of the above!

Have to say Dweezil was on excellent form on Friday night. Not such a big production as the last time he was here (just the 6 band members this time and no Steve Vai) but his guitar skills were amazing as always, and to top it all my hubby (who is Franks biggest ever fan) got Dweezil to sign a copy of his dad's autobiography (and I shook Dweezils hand).

Brilliant!

We just need Seasick Steve to come to Adelaide now .......... please

You poor bugger Bill. Now I know why you didn't want to drive the 9 hours each way! I could have laid you on the back seat and chauffered you there but there would still be the awkward bit of carrying you to the venue!! Get Well Soon Bill.

Thanks SA Great! I could get into a venue, but would have to avoid the mosh pit (can't see there being one at as Keane concert though!) and indeed would need to sit down.

Enjoy working your way through the list. Sometimes, when reading the biography of a band, others are recommended, and I try them all! Also, my 20 year old daughter is always recommending new stuff that she thinks I'll like, and she is often right. The list is even longer - I keep having to delete oldies from my 8GB iPod to fit on the new stuff that I want to try!

Cheers,

Bill
