      Primary Schools in the Brighton area

      Can you please give me your comments/recommendations on the primary schools in the Brighton area, both public and private. My daughter is 6 in November 2010 so we are hoping for her to start school in January 2011. Could you also advise if any of these schools have a nursery attached or located close by as my son will be 3 years old in August and we may need childcare for 1 to 2 days per week and if they were located close by would help.

      My son started at Brighton primary last Easter. He is also 6. Despite the schools excellent reputation, my son never settled well and I didn't like it at all. Everyone's experiences are different, but we have since moved and my son has settled in fantastically at a smaller school which seems much more community orientated and we are all much happier with it.

      Generally schools don't have kindy's attached - they just have local ones. Some schools also have zoning, others don't. It may depend on where you live!
