Question primary school in north east suburbs????

      Hi

I live in the NE suburbs and have my son in the kindy bit ofredwood park primary school (public), and pay $140 a term for two full days. My friend has her son in banksia park for $60 a term for two full days.
Can anyone please explain/give advise on why the costs differ os much when they're just round the corner form each other?

I hadn't compared prices to be honest, it was just the closest for us, and I liked the small kindy bit and big play field. It looks like we're staying aroudn here, and my boy goes to primary school in jan2011. I know there's the website myschool.com, but what else should I be consdiering?

ANy help much appreciated for suggestions, questions to ask as its obviously not just about money either.

      Hi

I have two children in Redwood Park Primary and one in the Kindy. I agree the lunchtime care in the kindi is very expensive. My daughter does one full day and two halfs and that costs me $95 a term, $50 for the Kindi and $45 for the lunch time care!
I have had no problems with the Primary school and would recomend it. My two older children love it there and have settled very well.

      what were the answers??

I love reading the posts on here and am planning on moving to OZ as soon as we can. Looking at the North East of Adelaide as that seems to be where all the electronic industry is situated.
I read the posts and people have lots of questions which is fab and people go off and PM each other so I don't find out any more!!!!!!
Interested in the schools and fees. What were the questions and answers to the posts above???
What are class sizes like in Primary School?
      What are the Fee differences?
After Primary School what schools do they go on to??

Only joking but be interested in any advice on education.

We are living in the North East ............Banksia Park! We have three teenagers at Banksia Park International High......they have settled really well and been welcomed by students and staff. School fees are $445 per year.....but have gone up for one of our kids when she moved into year 10 but only by about $50. We have to pay for any printing they do at school....and also for their internet usage but doesnt cost much. It does take some getting used to having to pay for school.....especially when there are three lots!

The Junior school is just down the road from the High School.......so must be an easy transition for the pupils...............:daydreaming:

      Hi,
It actually depends on what time you leave, hubby is working in North Adelaide at the moment and says if he leaves at 7 it takes approx 30 mins, leave at 7.30 and you can look at adding approx 15 mins to the journey. That is travelling from Redwood Park which is adjacent to Banksia Park
