newbie
Hi never really fished before but fancy trying my hand at sea fishing when we arrive in Sept.
My mates just migrated to Perth and seems to be catching huge salmon for fun at the moment and posting them on facebook.
Any tips on rods and bait would be appreciated.

Hi Trev,
You won't get big salmon in Adelaide like in WA. You will get some good sized ones from places like PN Jetty in a good souwesterly (if you can get a space on the jetty!) Lure fishing is the way to go with 25-50g lures a good start. Alternatively, come down my way, the salmon here are big and easy to catch. Just remember your bag and size limits ha ha!

You can get some pretty cheap combo rods, i got Surf rod n reel for bout $80....and a couple of 9ft rods and reels for bout 40/50 bux.....they do the job nicely...having a boat is deffo the way to go here....
