Private Health Insurance

Hi everyone!!

After some advice.

I am here on a spouse visa, my OH is Australian! We're looking into private health cover, but there are so many different companies out there, it's all a bit confusing!!

Can anyone recommend a good company to go with?

It is also very important to ensure you have Ambulance Cover, SA Ambulance Service

Not all Health funds provide full ambulance cover, some only cover emergency calls and it is very expensive to call out an ambulance, whether you do it or someone else calls one for you.

Hmm, just a word of caution with that site. It doesn't include the three biggest providers and is the subject of several investigations into its practices (and was the subject of ABC's 7:30 report last year alleging that while it claims to have a 'best price guarantee' it hides some of the the best priced funds from view if others pay it more commission ...)

 

If using it, perhaps it's worth double checking results against the government comparison site:

thats a great website not seen it before thanks.. something we still need get, got ambulance cover but nothing else yet!

I looked at the iSelect one Cliffy, and thought they didn't have many companies on there!!

I'll check out the government one!!
