Me and my husband need overseas visitors cover until we land in Australia for our 457 visa but we also need different cover to avoid the MLS as we are over the threshold.
I've looked at quite a few but wondered if others had experience.
I'd thought about budget cover with IMAN for the 457 and then cancel once we get our medicare card, with possibly Nib or HCF for cover to start once we've arrived in Adelaide to avoid paying the MLS. The other option is visitors cover + extras and reciprocal health cover with members first (mutual community & HBA) but we can't then cancel the visitors cover and have the reciprocal cover as a stand alone policy.
Any advice much appreciated!
