Hi there, just wondering does anyone know of any opticians that specialise in children. My son was being ministered regularly with his eyes in England with a very good optician and is now due his next check here she recommended to find one that specialises in children's eyes. Any help and advise much appreciated thAnkyou. X

Hi my son's poor eyesight was picked up by his kindy health check and since then has been monitored by the women's and children's hospital. We just went to Specsavers at Colonades knowing that they had a good selection of kids frames there at a reasonable price.

The only problem we had was that he needed a larger frames as the Mr Men frames were not strong enough to hold his strong prescription lenses but when I pointed that out after the doctors recommendation they were happy to make a new pair for him for free.

He will need his eyes re-testing soon so will check out those recommended.

We took our son to the opticians on main south road at O halloran hill on recommendation of the school which is in Willunga as they have a behavioural optometrist attached to the practise.

We also use this one which is good, recommended by another local optometrist.

Hey cyprus2001 there are so many good opticians that specialize in children. You can also contact them via the website or phone for consulting your problem. Here I am listing a website cardiff.ac.uk it might be very helpful for you, you can contact them via phone, or email as well. Well I will suggest you do some some research concerned with your problem over WWW, and also don't your queries from the experts that will make you more sensible about your problem.

I would highly recommend Specsavers at the colonnades, we have been going there since my son was 4 months old. All 5 of my children go there and they are great. My son has worn glasses since he was 4 months and they have always been really helpful, even after his eye ops they have asked after him. We sre in there regularly getting his glasses straightened or repaired as he is a typical 3 year old now and doesn't worry about his glasses when playing rough and tumble. The optometrist himself is great with the children too.
