Medicare Enrolment....

Hey all,

 

Was just going through the details of medicare enrolment...the form asks for ID (eg passport) and 2 forms of ID with address.

 

How do you get the 2 for the address if you have only just arrived?

Hi,

 

When/if you move into a rental long or short term you should get a rental agreement straight away and secondly when you open a bank account they will send you correspondence pretty quick.

You don't need to enrol straight away and usually best to give it a week for your details of immigration to hit their system.

Ah.....thats ok then!! Was hoping the bank would be quick!!

 

At least we are alright leaving it for a bit then!

Hi,

when we opened an account with westpac the printed of a welcome letter and handed it to us straight away, this was useful for a few things, I registered with medicare on day 2, by day 3 I was ill, day 4 was using medicare!
