CAN ANYONE HELP ?

Do you have to pay for an eye test ?

If you present your recipricol medicare card can you get a free eye test ?

Glassess seem even more expensive here than the UK.

Does nayone know the best and cheapest place to get them done please ??

Depends which visa you are on. We're on 495 and had to pay $25 dollars the first time for eye test over two years ago and $55 dollars a year later. Don't know if each optician charges different amounts?
We applied for pr last September (still not received) and so last eye test this month was free as we now have an interim full cover medicare card
We went to Specsavers as they had the best deal on at the time but think you need to shop around for the best deal at the time
