Laptop repairs?

Hi,

 

My laptop screen has packed up on me. I can only open it about a quarter of the way then the screen goes too dark to see. Can anyone recomend somewhere to get it repaired in the North East, or does anyone know if it is worth repairing.(cost).

I have now got a new one:D but was planning on getting the old one repaired for the kids to use.

Wendy mine does that to my computer expert nephew said it was a lose wire from the lid to the base and was gunna fix it. That was 10 months ago in sunny Essex stilldidnt get it done just have to wiggle it about til the screen comes back.

 

Really should get a new one lol x
