Help needed - Reverse Cycle Air Con Unit

Guest Dande

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone knew what a red flashing "FLT" means on the control panel of an air con unit.

We've asked our agent, but he hasn't come back to us, and we've no idea what it could mean.

It could mean "fault" or simply "filter" and that the filter needs cleaning - or something entirely different.

Any comments gratefully received!

Thanks

Dande

Is the unit on the wall? Probably Filter. We had one of these in one of our rental properties and they should be changed regularly. The landlord is responsible for the maintenance of this.

If your air con is ducted (the vents in the ceiling) then there is a return air filter which needs to be cleaned regularly - this can just be vacuumed. The return air is also in the ceiling.

Hope this helps.
