Could you please point me in the right direction : where do I go & how much would it cost to get my daughter's beloved Samsung UK Mobile phone unlocked as it won't work sadly with an Ozzie Sim Card?

If the phone over a year old you could contact the UK provider and they can unlock it

Cunnah, i unloked my samsung D 900 this way, there are no servo's that do an "under the counter" job here.

Quite a few on google are free, if you look long enough.

 

If you have the company's emblem in the phone, (virgin, vodafone etc) these may be more difficult, mine came from carphone warehouse and was a doddle
