Carpet Cleaner?

Ive bought a 2nd hand lounge suite and would really like to get it cleaned, the cheapest quote I have so far is $165 but these are from big companies so wondering if anyone out there has their own business that may be cheaper?

Have you thought about hiring one and doing it yourself? We hired a carpet cleaner from Foodland (I understand Woolworths also do this) a few months back and it only cost $40.

I wasnt sure if I would make a mess of it seeing as the couch is a suede like material (I presume it would easily water mark?)
