Electricity and gas suppliers? Which one did you choose? Any thoughts?

Hi to all...

Which supplier for electricity and gas did you choose? All offer different costings... Any past good or bad experience that anyone has had, maybe some fine print that you did not read?
Any thoughts?

I've recently used www.electricitywizard.com.au They put me on to a company called Lumo Energy which had the best tariffs in my area. Maybe give them a ring or fill out the form of their website and see what they come up with.

I've heard some bad reviews about Lumo - never had any dealings with them so I dont know if its true or not - just thought I'd let you know what I heard.

We went with Origin but to be honest the whole process was a bit of a joke.

On the day of changeover (previous supplier to Origin) our electricity goes off about mid-day. Apparently they have to send a guy out to 'switch it back on'

this leaves up with no leccy from mid-day until about 10.15PM when after numberous phone calls some goon from Origin turns up in his van, has a root around in the communal leccy supply box and turns our supply back on. Of course by this point were sitting in the dark. I rang the rental agency and they said 'thats just what normally happens' and the suppliers are un-regulated. We may have just been unlucky but this was the last thing we needed after moving half way across the world and trying to settle in to our new pad.
