Hi we have just made some calls about internet connection been told we have to wait for 6 months before we can apply is this so, we can just have telephone line only,

We have internet connection and have been here for 9 weeks??

Got ours all up and running just under 2 weeks after moving into our house (Adam internet with VoIP phones)

We are with Adam took just over a week to connect and that was this time last year during the holiday, got a large download limit and VOIP which is so much cheaper for calling home.

That sounds very strange! We ordered a phone and internet package with Optus online, didn't even have to speak to anyone. Was installed about 2 weeks later. I can't imagine why Telstra would be difficult but I'd say it's a sign they don't want business so just shop around!

I think Telstra have a reputation for being difficult, it doesn't bode well if they can't even get you connected! I would go elsewhere if I were you.

ADAM are the better option in Adelaide as they are locally based and you get humans on the tech helpline if required. I've been with them for 7 years and all problems I've encountered have been easily solved.

We bought a wireless dongal pay as you go over the counter up and running in the hour, yhe down load you get depends on the amount you pay $30 to $150 from 30 days to 12 mounths. Ok but can be costly.

We got the whole package with telstra, foxtel, landline, mobiles, internet with bigpond, all in 2 weeks. Everything was up and running within the first week of moving into the rental.
It doesn't sound right to have to wait so long.

Check again, or shop around.
