Dog Walker options

Hi

We arrive last week in August with the dogs joining us at the end of October. One thing we will miss is having family close who could let the dogs out or walk them at lunch etc. So with moving to the other side of world we need a Plan B :err:

So we want to look at dog walking services or even a doggy day care . Does anyone use such services and can recommend them? We are looking at the southern suburbs at the moment.

Thanks

Kathleen

Hi, give Lindsey Barker a call from Bark's Wags & Whiskers on 0450 454417. She is a professional dog walker and pet sitter.

She does southern suburbs.

Thanks

There is an excellent 'doggy day care' in the city ... Dogcity Day Care http://dogcitydaycare.com.au/ ........ we used this previously and were very impressed with it. There is also an outdoor one in Brighton/Hove http://holdfastdogcentre.com.au/

For your own walking there is also a nice dog park in Oaklands Road, Marion ....and there are lots of council parks and 'reserves' (like woods) where you can let the dogs off for a good run.

Thanks. doggy day care sounds great but maybe (as we have 2) we should keep it down to a special treat for them. Those bills are racking up and we haven't got to Adelaide yet. Sports package on foxtel or dogs???? difficult question

You could always put an ad in your local deli when you arrive and try and get a teenager who could call in and walk them after school or something for a bit of extra cash? Or ask around your neighbours if any of them has teenage kids who'd be interested. As a parent of a nearly 18 yr old who is desperate to start earning some money, I know that's quite common! If you end up in the NE let me know...!!!
