Got my HD telly from UK to work but some channels have no sound? can anyone help?

Thanks to comments on here I tuned my tv to Germany and it worked unfortunately the SD channels work fine but the ones with HD say 'no audio'? can anyone tell my why this is?? did anyone else have this problem when they retuned their tvs? many thanks

Have you tried googling the problem? You will need to search via the make and model of your tv. You might find there is a forum out there just for yout make of TV and it's pertinent problems.

I wonder whether anyone can help me we are thinking of buying our son a Smart Tv for Xmas, but we should hopefully been in SA in early part of new year and wondered if the TV would work out there with no problems too?

They sell them here. No clue if there are differences in format or whatever between Aus and UK.

 

Perhaps research prices in Aus and see if it would work out better to buy once here and get the warranty cover etc. And not have to wait 3 months for it to ship in a container.

Thanks Snifter thats a very good point, never thought of the warranty etc!! I think hubby has read somewhere as price is pretty much the same mght even be a bit cheaper in SA!!

have you tried re-orienting the aerial?

 

when SA switched off the analogue signal,we ended up with a lot of roof top aerials pointing the wrong way. (-Visit the government website, type in your address, and check the compass bearing)
