Dyeing a leather sofa

Ok so our white leather sofa ( yes bad choice!) is stained yellow in places, I think from sunscreen and it will not clean off.

 

We are considering dying it a darker colour and I have seen some firms on line that do this.

 

Has anyone done this or had it done? We're the results good?

 

It is good quality leather and wasn't cheap so apart from throws, any other suggestions for cleaning, I have tried proprietary cleaners and bicarbonate and vinegar but nothing will move the stains.
