Hi y'all

 

Any good tips on where to buy cheap (but relaible) fridge/freezer, washing machine, etc. Can't get rental because not working yet.

The Good Guys will usually have good deals. Remember if you are paying nin cash ask if they can do a deal. Also if you aren't fussed there are places that sell 2nd hand fridges etc reconditioned. I think there is 1 on the Port Rd

also try freecycle in adleaide on the yahoo network , sometimes you can get really decent free stuff i used to give stuff away before move in uk x

Thanks - went to the Good Guys at Mile End and got a decent fridgefreezer and washing machine for less than a grand. Very friendly too (as they would be when taking my cash) but nice difference from the typical indifferent monosyllabic sales assistants on Purley Way in Croydon back in the UK!

 

And delivery tomorrow! It would be at least a week back in England.....(if they had the bloomin' thing in stock....)

They also class "Savings" (if you have an Australian bank account) as cash, so you don't need to carry paper money ;-)
